Today was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous here.
We made it to the beach house late last night after working a 13-hour day & got some rest last night. Today was spent playing bocce ball on the beach, jumping off the trestle bridge into the freezing cold ocean ( twice! ) and walking the beach countless times. The other part of the crew are currently out playing beach volleyball, but I opted to sit this one out – to blog & save my arms from crazy pain that is volleyball.
The rest of the week is supposed to be pretty crappy weather – but we’re supposed to be able to see meteor showers for the next two nights. Hopefully we’ll be able to actually see it through the clouds / fog / rain, etc. because they’re supposed to be the best showers in the last 7 years!
I wore this outfit today – another one-piece, ripped denim, a kimono and my trusty Birks / LA hat. Seriously feel so comfortable in a one-piece. They hug in all the right places, are super comfortable and are actually practical, unlike some other swimsuits I’ve seen. Seriously not down to struggle into a swimsuit or have wicked crazy tanlines.
I just want to point out that I got this kimono on sale for a ridiculous discount. I almost bought it before Cuba because I love wearing kimonos over swimsuits for sun protection and warmth after swimming – because on the east coast, it does get chilly! I opted to buy a different one before Cuba, because it happened to be on sale, and then when I got back home this one was on sale for $7. Serious. SEVEN dollars for a cute kimono. I’ve worn it a ton of times and have washed it too, and it’s holding on great. I love the longer length and the short sleeves because you can wear this through to the fall or again in the spring when you are wearing leggings or ripped jeans! I love wearing kimonos or cardigans with basically every outfit because I get cold so easily.
I’m off to watch the sunset while the crazies are playing volleyball in 30 degree weather!
