Hello loves, happy Monday. Today is a chilly, rainy, yucky day that just adds to the Monday feeling. I really just wanted to curl up in bed when I woke up this morning and not face the day but I knew I’d feel so much better after I got up & got to it. And I was right. Halfway through my bike ride ( obviously inside, because let me tell ya IT’S POURING around here ), I felt so awake and energized, and ready to take on the day / week. Mind you I may or may not be on my third cup of tea but that’s alright. Tea is healthy, working out is healthy, Monday is healthy. This weekend was jampacked full of lots of things – new and old – and I loved…

There are so many tips floating around, whether it be in books, on the internet, from your friends / family ( WHAT UP MOM, so many tips, swear she knows everything ) but there is nothing that is more common among all of these tips than sleep. Sleep is the number one tip for leading a healthy lifestyle, living a happy life, radiating beauty and youthfulness, staying fit and having enough motivation / drive to reach your goals. I am a firm believer in almost all of the beauty tips and anti-aging tips that I’ve come across and I do believe that a lot of them can help your looks as well as how you feel. But there is no tip that I believe in more than getting a good night’s rest. There is nothing…

So I don’t know about you, but in the winter my motivation level for absolutely everything goes to a -10. I’m pretty good at getting things done that I HAVE to do… like homework, projects, work commitments and stuff like that but everything else like working out and taking time for myself falls to the back burner. I got a Fitbit for Christmas from Daniel and it has seriously helped my motivation SO much. It was like the third day I had it and there was a huge snowstorm. I looked at my Fitbit that night as I was getting in to bed and I had barely walked over 1,000 steps that day. I was ready to tackle the remaining weeks ( I thought I had a few left AT LEAST ) & I never thought I’d be doing my final journey post so soon. But here I am. Week 2 ( 2.5 to be exact, eek ) and I am finished. I thought that I’d lose weight slower because I really didn’t have THAT much to lose anyway and this is typically a diet that people use who have to lose HUGE amounts, but when I started I lost 6.4 pounds in 7 days and over the course of the next 7 days, I lost another 2.4. I…

Well hello again, my sweet friends. Look at me being all obsessed with my blog lately. I haven’t been this active so many days in a row in a long, long time. You could say I am definitely back in love with it. It has to be the weather. It’s gorgeous. Even the rainy days don’t suck because it’s not pitch black at 4:40pm and freezing cold & snowy / icy. Actually, maybe it’s because school is almost done. I only have 1 paper and 1 test left. Plus 4 discussion posts but ehhh those are easy peasy lemon squeezy. No, no, it has to be because Cuba is basically a month away. Or maybe it’s the fact I’m feeling SO MUCH better about myself. Yes, that’s definitely what it is. The Ideal Protein Protocol…
