Hi hi! Happy October 1! It’s the ( second ) best day of the year, other than Christmas because really… who doesn’t love Christmas?! Today’s post takes us back to last weekend when my mom suggested that we go to the Cheese House that we went to last fall, and then we stopped for apples, fresh produce, homemade bread ( omg! I wanted to eat it all SO bad ), peanut butter cookies and soft serve ice cream too. I love apple picking and visiting the valley in the fall. It’s one of my favourite places because everywhere is so welcoming and super autumnal. We usually go apple picking and all of the other various things over Thanksgiving weekend, but this year we’re doing something a bit different for Thanksgiving weekend and won’t be able…

Happy Friday loves! Today I bring you volume two of The Friday Five & I couldn’t be more excited. I have a TON of different things to share with you today, so let’s get started right away. __________________________________ five items I always have in my purse: 01. Cream/lip balm: ok, serious – I have the WORST dry skin on my hands and my nails are always ripping and bleeding ( ew, sorry ). It doesn’t matter what time of the year it is, my hands are a l w a y s beat up and hurting, so without cream on-hand, I wouldn’t be able to survive. And lip balm is a given. I absolutely hate dry lips. These two go hand-in-hand in my opinion and I’m never without them. I also keep them in my…

So I thought I’d start a new thing. I used to share my Friday Favourites a lot, but I found that it just kind of got blah – repetitive and honestly, annoying to write. I don’t often switch up my beauty products, make-up items or even fashion pieces. I like what I like and I stick with it. I don’t even have exciting things happen every single week, so Friday Favourites got a little bit hard to write. When I get bored of something, I get sooo over it, so I thought I’d take a little break from them and then I came across this idea from various other blogs ( I am a blog whore, I admit it – I read SO many good ones ), I thought I’d give it a go. So…

So this is sort of a follow-up post to my summer bucket list last week. I touched on a few things that I absolutely HAVE to do this summer but there are so many other fun things to do. Today, I thought I’d share a few more must-do’s for the summer…  Go to the park and have a cellphone-free walk ( by yourself or with your favourite person ).  Have a photoshoot.  Spend a few hours at an amusement park ( or fair! ).  Try something new on the water ( like paddle-boarding – HUGE on my to-do list, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, waterskiing – SO fun, etc. ).  Jump off a really high rock / cliff into water below ( I did this before, while on a work camping trip & really I’ve never been…

Summer is quickly approaching. Like so quickly I can hardly believe it. At the beginning of next week, it is OFFICIALLY summer – so even if wherever you are in the world doesn’t feel like summer just yet ( like me! ), know that it has to warm up really soon. I promise… keep holding out hope! I know I am. On the account that summer is coming, we flashback to Friday’s post where I noted that I had been enjoying creating a summer bucket list. In the past, I’ve made bucket lists for summer, but I’ve never really been able to knock things off because I put such farfetched ideas. Don’t get me wrong, I’d still LOVE to do these things but I just know that I need to prepare more for them than just…
