And using excessive amounts of plastic, wasting gas and overall treating our planet badly. One of my monthly goals for every single month this year has been to spend less time on my phone & every month I feel as though I’ve failed. During the month of April, I put this goal back on my monthly goals list and so far, I’ve made a really conscious effort to spend less time on my phone. I hate constantly feeling like I NEED to be connected. There’s always someone to respond to. There’s always new tweets or pictures to creep. There’s always a new blog post to read, an email to open, gossip to stay up to date on, or some sort of “crisis” going on that someone needs help to figure out or advice about. Hello my loves. This has been such a chilled, relaxing, much needed weekend & I have enjoyed almost every minute of it. I ate a lot of tasty food, tried & failed at a new recipe ( BUT I’m going to try it again! ), worked a bit, spent time with Daniel and FINALLY had my long overdue eye appointment! Hooray for new glasses in 7-10 business days… here’s hoping it’s more on the 7 days, rather than the 10 because I could use them before Cuba! There are so many tips floating around, whether it be in books, on the internet, from your friends / family ( WHAT UP MOM, so many tips, swear she knows everything ) but there is nothing that is more common among all of these tips than sleep. Sleep is the number one tip for leading a healthy lifestyle, living a happy life, radiating beauty and youthfulness, staying fit and having enough motivation / drive to reach your goals.
