Today’s post is another linkup with The J Petite and Pucker Up Style! I’ve come to REALLY love Tuesdays, and I look forward to this linkup each week.
The theme this week is ‘half-up ponytails’ or ‘distressed denim’ and me being me, I didn’t FULLY read the whole thing & missed the whole ‘half-up ponytails’ bit…
I’m honestly not a huge makeup girl, so for most of the lipstick aspects of this linkup, I’m unable to participate ( nailpolish? I can’t even… red lips? Barely ever… ) but half-up ponytails are my j a m.
I’m so sad I missed this bit before we shot these photos…
Next time I’ll pay more attention.
I actually wore this super comfortable outfit yesterday to work & paired it with a black leather jacket overtop because it was chilly outside today – finally.
This outfit mixes a bit of old with new & I love it.
My jeans are from f o r e v e r ago, like seriously, they are years old. But they’re American Eagle, so you know they are meant to last and are going to last forever ( whether you like it or not! ). I love the fit of these because they aren’t skinny jeans, but aren’t super baggy boyfriend jeans. These ones are actually the straight cut from AE, which definitely don’t fit like straight cut jeans from other places I find. I love cuffing these at the bottom and pairing them with a super slouchy, comfortable top.
Yesterday was crisp and cool out and while I loved it, I definitely had to dress for the weather – so I grabbed my new chunky oversized sweater from Aerie which I love. I actually picked this sweater up in two colours because I loved it so much ( the other colour will be featured soon! ). The fit is amazing, it’s so soft, the sleeves are long enough – swear, I have the longest arms ever, my grandmother and I both do and we always used to joke about it, the colours are gorgeous and I love the wider neck style.
Distressed denim and cozy sweaters are something that I will be wearing together all fall ( and winter! ) long, I can guarantee it. They are such staples and are so versatile.
Where do you guys like to get your distressed denim from? I’m for sure an AE girl, but Hollister and H&M are creeping up there on my denim-go-to stores.
