I believe that everyday you should work towards your biggest goal in life. I believe that every single day, no matter what your attitude or feelings are, you should do something towards your biggest goal in life and do something positive that helps lead you towards attaining that goal.
There is no realness to the belief that success can happen overnight.
Success is something that you work towards.
It is a goal that you work to attain.
It is not achieved in the blink of an eye.
It is something that you must put an effort in to and something that you must chip away at each and every day of your life.
No matter how small the action, no matter how little effort something takes, each and every action that you put forth effects your ultimate goal in life. Hopefully everything that you do is a positive action and helps to impact your life goal in a positive way.
Overnight success actually takes a long time. Nothing that is successful has actually happened as easily as people may think. Facebook seemed to appear out of nowhere but it was actually developed in late 2003, and became widely known and popular in late 2006. Facebook took over 3 years to develop and become as popular as it is today. Most social media sites and game apps took much longer than we as users expect to develop and be as popular as they are today. So that’s why I am ok taking my time and not forcing what I am creating on people.
It will happen if it’s meant to happen.
Nothing happens overnight. Success takes hard work, perserverence and the firm belief that whatever it is can be great.
There are a few people that are telling me that I should promote my blog and my beliefs/opinions with people. Somedays I think that I should, but for the most part, I believe that if what I am creating means enough to me that others will love it as much as I do and it will not require any promotion.
It will be as great as it can be without me forcing it on people. I don’t want people to read it or support me just because I am asking them to. I want them to believe in me and give me the support that they are because they want to.
Because they believe in me and what I stand for.
Not because I am asking them to.
I am fully aware that if I do share what I stand for with others and they do support me, it’s because they want to but I want it to happen organically. I don’t want to force something on them. I want it to grow and expand organically and for it to happen when it is meant to happen. If it takes six months, 1 year, 2 years, five years, ten years or it never happens, that is what was meant to be.
I believe in putting my effort and belief in to something, wholeheartedly, without giving up, and what is meant to be, will be.
I believe in taking action and working towards a goal. I’m not going to sit here and wish that my blog would take off or that people would support me. I am going to produce content and continue to do it until I no longer feel the passion and love for it that I do right now. I will continue to produce content that I believe in and that I believe is worthy of sharing and whatever happens, happens.
It’s great to imagine what could happen. Sure, I read blogs that are mega popular and successful and I think how great that would be if that was me and my blog.
But I am also realistic.
These people ( bloggers ) have worked so hard and have produced content that they believe in. They have worked tirelessly to make their brand one that they believe in and one that others connect with.
It hasn’t happened overnight and I don’t believe that mine will either. That would be naïve of me and unrealistic. I have to continue to believe in myself and my work and continute to produce content that I love and am proud of.
When people say that you should live in the moment and stop thinking about the future, it makes me mad. We should always be thinking about the future and what we can create for ourselves. If we were to only think about the current moment and our current situation, we wouldn’t be able to dream and execute plans that can have a huge impact on our future.
I think it’s important to think and plan for the future but to be realistic. Set goals and make plans but don’t get discouraged if you don’t reach your goals or if your plans change. That is what happens in life. And that is real.
Being successful is a lifestyle and it is not a lifestyle that is easy to manage. It can take blood, sweat, tears, arguments, moments of disbelief and complete failure to get you to that one quick moment in which you feel successful.
It’s important to realize that success isn’t about numbers – money, views, followers, likes, emails you get per day, whatever. It is about being the best version of YOU and being that person that you admire and love above anything. It is so important to not get stuck on numbers and comments and shit like that.
If you are proud of who you are and what you stand for, then in my eyes YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL. You are doing everything that you can to show others that you are the best you that you can be and this is admirable.
Sorry for this late night ( semi drunk #ooops ) ramble. It was Halloween and I had a few too many vodkas and felt motivated/inspired/driven/passionate/WHATEVER.
I hope that you set out to be the BEST YOU that you can be – today, tomorrow and every day to come.
